At The House of Prayer, we use the governance structure of Elders and Deacons, as was used by the early church. We believe that God calls, and the Holy Spirit equips both men and women to lead across all facets of Church life.
In the early church, Elders were appointed in order to provide general oversight and guidance, primarily focusing on the Spiritual Needs of the Church by teaching the word and feeding the flock, watching out for the church in humility (1 Peter 5:1-4) (Hebrews 13:17) (Acts 15:1-2) (James 5:14). Deacons were appointed to Minister to the physical and logistical needs, having a responsibility not only to the Church, but also to the Overseers and Elders (Acts 6). In The House of Prayer, the General Overseers & Senior Pastors (Pastors Mariatu & Sheriff Jalloh), have appointed Elders and Deacons. They were chosen for their pastoral leadership, exemplary lifestyle and willingness to serve the body of Christ (Titus 1:5-9) (1 Peter 5:1-5).

Married to the beautiful Grace, Elder Eric and his wife are parents to 7 children. Elder Eric has served in the Ministry for over 13 years, and currently serves as the Church Secretary within the Core Leadership and oversees both the Couple’s Link Ministry & the Evangelism Department.
Bob Thompson

Married to the beautiful Angie, Elder Bob and his wife are parents of 3 children. Elder Bob has served in the Ministry for over 12 years, and is passionate about Christ, and making his message known through worship and songs. Elder Bob currently oversees the Music Ministry of the Church.
Alex Morseray

Married to the beautiful Josephine, Elder Alex and his wife are parents of 5 children. Elder Alex has served in the Ministry for over 12 years, and currently serves as the Church Treasurer within the Core Leadership. Elder Alex’s currently oversees the Welfare & Hospitality Department, together with the Facilities Management of the Church.

Married to the beautiful Mercy, Michael and his wife are parents of 5 children. Michael has served in the Ministry for nearly 10 years, and currently serves as the Church Administrator and oversees the Administration Team of the Church.
Sherifaye Kargbo
Church Financial Administrator
Married to the handsome Robert, Sherifaye and her husband are parents of 3 children. Sherifaye is one of the founding members, and has served in the Ministry for over 13 years, and currently serves as the Church Financial Administrator. Together with her husband, the couple currently oversee the Youth, Young Adults & Media Ministries of the Church.
