Leadership Team

At The House of Prayer, we use the governance structure of Elders and Deacons, as was used by the early church.We believe that God calls, and the Holy Spirit equips both men and women to lead across all facets of Church life.In the early church, Elders were appointed in order to provide general oversight and guidance, primarily focusing on the Spiritual Needs of the Church by teaching the word and feeding the flock, watching out for the church in humility (1 Peter 5:1-4) (Hebrews 13:17)(Acts 15:1-2)(James 5:14).Deacons were appointed to Minister to the physical and logistical needs, having a responsibility not only to the Church, but also to the Overseers and Elders (Acts 6).In The House of Prayer, the General Overseers & Senior Pastors have appointed 5 Elders and 2 Deacons. They were chosen for their pastoral leadership, exemplary lifestyle and willingness to serve the body of Christ (Titus 1:5-9) (1 Peter 5:1-5).
